Los Minas y voy al Estadio Quisqueya, y a todos los demás estadios de
beisbol de mi país, por eso me atrevo a expresar mi humilde opinión
que espero sea acogida positivamente, y que los jóvenes deportistas
asimilen las experiencias de sus antecesores.
una simple ilustración a mis queridos lectores. Siempre nos situamos
en Roma, Grecia, Italia o Francia, entre otros países considerados
como la cuna de la civilización, cuando se habla de hechos
transcendentales que han marcado para siempre la historia de la
humanidad, y normalmente cuando conversamos sobre un tema interesante,
tomamos como base lo acontecido hace siglos.
Son grandes los personajes de todas las ramas de las actividades
humanas que se han destacado a través de los siglos, tales como
filósofos, guerreros, científicos, artistas, literatos, en fin la
humanidad reconoce en ellos una fuente de conocimiento inagotable.
En tiempos modernos, cuando se habla de beisbol o pelota tenemos que
referirnos al Caribe y por obligación tenemos que mencionar a Cuba,
República Dominicana, Puerto Rico, y sus alrededores, de donde han
salido toda una gama de grandes peloteros estrellas desde juveniles,
amateur, olímpicos y de grandes ligas. Ahora bien, el proceso natural
de la vida consiste en nacer, crecer, multiplicar y morir, de esa
misma forma los peloteros de la Liga de Beisbol Dominicana pasan por
esas etapas, dejando un legado de enseñanzas y experiencias a las
nuevas generaciones.
Actualmente estoy viendo que a solo días del comienzo de la pelota
dominicana se está dando un factor, muy cuestionado por muchos y
admirados por otros, que consiste en que esas grandes glorias de
nuestro beisbol no han aceptado que su paso a retiro es inminente, y
que deben darle la oportunidad a los nuevos talentos. Me llama
poderosamente la atención observar a esos jugadores que consideramos
cariñosamente “viejevos”, con un pasado exitoso, preparándose
físicamente como si estuvieran en sus mejores tiempos para ocupar las
posiciones más importantes en sus equipos, y curiosamente algunos
pretender actuar como si fueran las mismas estrellas del pasado, como
si estuvieran en la plenitud de su carrera. No, así no es!!!
Voy más lejos, dicen que algunos de ellos en sus momentos de gloria,
no mostraban gestos de humildad y solidaridad con su comunidad, y ni
siquiera se interesaban por acercarse a los estadios de R.D., y mucho
menos colaborar en la comunidad con algo tan simple como firmar un
autógrafo para un niño o adulto, fanáticos del beisbol. Y en el peor
de los casos, otros han sido señalados con cuestionamientos acerca de
esteroides o mal comportamiento en la sociedad.
Claro, la misma historia que mencionamos al inicio de esta nota donde
la mayoría de los grandes líderes de la raza humana, merecieron una
segunda oportunidad para alcanzar el éxito, la interpretamos como un
mensaje de que todos merecemos esa segunda oportunidad para
recapacitar y seguir triunfando, pero de manera personal cada uno debe
reconocer cuando es el momento apropiado para pasar a un retiro
decoroso y darle la oportunidad a los nuevos relevos, que son la base
del futuro y de nuestro deporte rey.
No quiero omitir los comentarios que se escuchan sobre la Liga de
Beisbol en R.D., referentes a que la liga está buscando el balance
perfecto de mercadeo y atracción en sus torneos, que mantenga vivo el
espíritu deportivo y la competencia de todos los equipos
participantes. Por eso es típico que incluyan novatos, estrellas,
superestrellas y añejos para el éxito del torneo tanto en lo
competitivo como en lo económico, y además reconocemos que cada
pelotero estrella del beisbol tiene su fanaticada la cual espera ver
en acción a su ídolo de todos los tiempos, sin importar la edad
siempre y cuando se mantenga en condiciones físicamente óptimas para
su mejor desempeño.

The Dominican Ball October 2012 with Taste “Añejo”

I’m Dominican, Dominican ball fanatic, liceísta, I live in Los Minas
Quisqueya Stadium and I, and all other ballparks my country, so I
venture to express my humble opinion that I hope will be positively
received, and that the young athletes assimilate the experiences of
their predecessors.
And speaking of Dominican ball I will move down as a simple
illustration to my dear readers. Whenever we are at Rome, Greece,
Italy and France, among other countries regarded as the cradle of
civilization, when discussing momentous events that marked forever the
history of mankind, and usually when we talk about an interesting
topic, we basis that happened centuries ago. They are great characters
of all branches of human activities that have stood through the
centuries, including philosophers, warriors, scientists, artists,
writers, humanity finally recognizes in them an inexhaustible source
of knowledge.
In modern times, when talking about baseball or ball we have to refer
to the Caribbean and obligation we have to mention Cuba, Dominican
Republic, Puerto Rico, and the surrounding area, from where they have
come across a range of great players stars from youth, amateur ,
Olympic and majors. However, the natural process of life is to be
born, grow, multiply and die, in the same way the players of the
Dominican Baseball League go through stages, leaving a legacy of
lessons and experiences to new generations.
Currently I’m seeing that just days before the start of the Dominican
ball is being a factor, highly questioned by many and admired by
others, which is that those great glories of our baseball have not
accepted that his retirement is imminent step, and that should give
the opportunity to new talents. I note calls attention to those
players who think fondly “viejevos”, with a successful past, preparing
physically as if they were in their heyday to occupy the most
important positions in their teams, and interestingly some claim to
act as if they were the same stars of the past, as if they were in the
prime of his career. No, this is not!
I go further, say some of them in their moments of glory, showed no
gestures of humility and solidarity with their community, and not even
cared to approach RD stadiums, let alone work in the community with
something as simple like signing an autograph for a child or adult,
baseball fans. And in the worst cases, some have been marked with
questions about steroids or bad behavior in society.
Of course, the same story we mentioned at the beginning of this note
where most of the great leaders of the human race, deserved a second
chance to succeed, we interpret it as a message that everyone deserves
a second chance to reconsider and continue succeeding but personally
everyone should recognize when is the right time to move to a decent
retirement and give the opportunity to new relays, which are the basis
of the future and our sport.
Do not skip the comments I heard about the baseball league in RD,
concerning the league is looking for the perfect balance marketing and
attraction in their tournaments, to keep alive the spirit of
sportsmanship and competition for all participating teams. So
typically include rookies, stars, superstars and aged for tournament
success both in competitive and economically, and also recognize that
every ballplayer baseball star which has its fans expect to see their
idol in action of all times, regardless of age as long as it remains
in optimal physical conditions for best performance. .
